Comment: ok guys, perspective! I was in the markets during the dot com collapse, and this is eerily similar. A period of rapidly falling interest rates (peaked at 14.86% December, 1986, fell to 7.97% December, 1990) drove rapid growth. Once The Fed started hiking the party was over. The dot com collapse flushed the system, drove all the failing businesses into bankruptcy. What emerged was stronger. Likely the same game will play out here. Bonus insight: things move faster now. The dot com’s 5Y or so period of consolidation will likely happened in 1Y this time around. Oh yeh, I made buckets of money off the dot com collapse and I’ll make money off this collapse too.
