Stripe buys Africa!

or, more properly, the largest payment provider in Africa, startup Paystack. While terms weren’t disclosed, Stripe reportedly paid about $200M to expand its customer base in a fast growing region. About a two-minute read.

Comment: it seems Stripe’s days of rapid organic growth are over, so now is engaging in acquisitions. This is a traditional technology route, and further reinforces our perception of a slowing market for Fintech related services.
